Stacey's Bin

Just a little modelling i did for stacey to help with ther animation scene, she wanted an 'american bin' and this is the result. I did have a texture on it, but we decided it looked much better with just a simple material on it.

bits'n'bobs

I just wanted to show textures, bumps and uv's that i used in my rooms.
Dining Room:

Dining Room walls UV

Chairs and table wood

Fireplace Marble

Cabinet wood

Doors and fireplace wooden edges

Floor

Rug and bump

And these are the tuxtures used in the Kitchen:

Walls UV

Cooker UV

Cooker Stone

Kitchen Floor tiles and bump

Kitchen Cupboard wood

Cupboard tops

And the chopping board wood

O yes. I almost forgot the blood i painted for three of the rooms. We wanted to add some cinfusion into the murder, by having the 6 rooms, 6 weapons and three blood clues. There is no set story, and want the viewer to make their own, but we did like to believe that the victim was Miss peackock(the reason for the feather in the first room, killed by Colonel Mustard(his portrait hanging proudly in the Billiard room), with the lead pipe initially in the dining room. We thought she could have been finally shot in the Billiard room, or did she shoot at her attacker?? We do believe that the body was taken into the basement(door in the kitchen), and the lead pipe was hidden in the study by the diary of Miss Scarletts.

Here are also wireframes of the models and simple renders of them.

HAND IN

Finally, we have completed our Cluedo rooms, and put them together in a little clue-movie. The outcome isnt as was intended, as rendering camera movements took longer than we thought it might. But, we did find an alternative which seems to work ok. We rendered a higher quality image of each camera (two in each room), and used after effects to close in on the weapons/clues.Here are some stills of my rooms, showing the ambient occlusion, although i didnt use it for the dining room in the final version.

And with the bar

I've got as far as finishing the modelling, lighting and almost all the texturing. The only problem i had with this was losing the work on a broken computer, but i just had to make those things and add the lighting again, which were actually better the second time. I like this bar, the way the light pours throught the doors and windows, does give it a sense of being in a dessert, it feels cool inside. Here are some bad renders i have so far...

This image below shows the background i have added outside the building, which needs a little addjusting, and the ground needs a better colour to match. The bar and shelves have been textured, and just need populating with the bottles and glasses. I have also remembered the telephone, and added numbers to dial with. The tables and chairs have the same texture, but maybe need a sligh bump, with scrathes to make it seem more used. The lighting outside i like, but inside where the bar is, the characters wont be able to be seen.
